Upon arrival in Windhoek there should be time to relax before a scheduled (seat rate) flight to the desert departing Windhoek at 14h35 and arriving at 15h45(Geluk airstrip) where you’ll transfer to Little Kulala and spend two nights exploring the Sossusvlei region, staying in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve, which provides convenient access to the splendour of the towering red dunes of the Namib. Activities at Little Kulala start with morning guided game drives to the spectacular dunes of Sossusvlei. A private gate into the Park allows for early arrival at the dunes thereby maximizing photographic opportunities and scenic grandeur. Kulala Wilderness Reserve, a 40,000-hectare (98 842-acre) tract of land, is home to all forms of desert wildlife and borders the expansive Namib Naukluft Park. The Sossusvlei dunes rise dramatically more than 300metres and are surrounded by awe-inspiring topography. Emphasis is laid on the smaller desert fauna, spectacular scenery, and the incredible night sky. Today fly by light aircraft transfer to Swakopmund Airport depart from airstrip at 08h30 arriving at 09h45; this will be a scenic flight (weather permitting) and transferred from Swakopmund Airport to the grand Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund (transfer approx. 15mins). The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the towns’ quaint mix of European and African culture, as well as a little shopping. Later today (late afternoon or early evening) you will meet with your guide and go through the rest of your itinerary. The following morning explores the ice-blue Atlantic coast, from the port town of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund to its incredible marine mammals. A boat cruise at Walvis Bay (weather permitting) provides a unique chance to see the diverse pelagic (ocean-going) birdlife, Cape fur seals, and rare Heaviside’s dolphins up close. The Hansa Hotel forms part of Swakopmund architectural culture and dates back to 1905; it is said to be one of the oldest buildings in the town. It is ideally situated in the centre of Swakopmund within easy walking distance of town and the beach. The luxury of the hotel, its excellent cuisine, and friendly service are well known and appreciated countrywide and overseas. Note that lunch and dinner on these days are not included. |

Depart from Swakopmund driving north along the Skeleton Coast road and stop at a shipwreck located south of Henties Bay before journeying inland to Damaraland and visiting the rock etchings of Twyfelfontein. Today will be a long drive as we enjoy the area around Twyfelfontein and arrive at the lodge later in the afternoon where you will be based for 2nights. The 352,200hectare (870,305 acres) Torra Conservancy is a vast rocky area of rugged beauty interspersed with linear oases where spectacular topography dominate and an almost unquantifiable stillness pervades the air. Enjoy activities on the concession on a fully inclusive basis – includes twin share accommodation, standard drinks, meals, and standard activities (import drinks excluded). Damaraland Camp is situated in the Huab River Valley, it is lauded as one of the country's best camps, with sensational views of the surrounding desert plains, ancient valleys and soaring peaks of the Brandberg Mountains. Evening meals at Damaraland Camp are often prepared over an open fire and served out in the open in an area near to the camp lit by an assortment of small lanterns. The swimming pool is conveniently sited next to the bar. An open campfire and outdoor 'boma' can be enjoyed during calm evenings, with superb stargazing in the crystal-clear night skies. Activities at Damaraland Camp revolve around exploring the Huab River system, featuring guided nature drives and walks. Morning and afternoon drives in search for desert-adapted elephant are a great favourite. Gemsbok, greater kudu, springbok, and occasionally lion, cheetah, elephants and black rhino can be spotted. Interesting flora such as euphorbia’s and shepherds trees can be viewed on the way to some of Africa's best-known rock engravings, including the famous Twyfelfontein etchings. |

Today’s drive takes you via a short Himba tribe excursion near Kamanjab and onward to Ongava Lodge or Ongava Tented Camp both of which are set on an incredible private game bordering Etosha National Park and where you will stay for two nights on a fully inclusive basis. Overnight is in a twin bed chalet (lodge) or luxury permanent tented camp (Tented Camp), all meals, accommodation and activities are included – activities here include game drives on the reserve as well as into Etosha, and game walks. Surprisingly the terrain on the reserve varies quite considerably from that of Etosha, with hills and plains, various woodlands and shrub areas. Ongava Lodge - Accommodation at Ongava Lodge comprises 12 air-conditioned rock and thatch chalets, each with en-suite bathroom and private balcony overlooking the expansive plains of the Ongava Game Reserve on which the lodge is situated amidst the privately owned reserve. Meals are served in the spacious thatched lapa with its comfortable lounge area, bar, and magnificent views. Ongava Tented Camp is one of Namibia's best kept secrets. Located in the much-lauded Ongava Game Reserve to the south of the Etosha National Park, it overlooks a nearby waterhole to which a plethora of wildlife congregates to drink. Constructed of stone, canvas, and thatch, it accommodates 16 guests in eight large comfortable Meru-style tents - all with en-suite facilities, open air showers, and private verandas. Relaxation at Ongava Tented Camp typically takes place around the main area with its lounge, bar and swimming pool areas, watching the wildlife that comes to drink at the waterhole. The Ongava Game Reserve shares a boundary with the Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park is Namibia's premier wildlife destination and one of Africa's largest game reserves. Large herds of wildlife teem around the waterholes and the endless plains offer breathtaking vistas. |

Yellow fever vaccination (recommended):
Yellow fever occurs only in parts of Africa, Central and South America. Travellers visiting the endemic zone should receive the vaccination and carry the International Certificate of Vaccination or prophylaxis (Yellow Fever). Since the Yellow Fever infected zone varies from time to time, travellers planning to visit such areas should seek advice or book a pre-travel health consultation with the Travel Health Centres of Department of Health at least 6 weeks before departure in order to determine if vaccination against Yellow Fever is required.
According to International Health Regulations, a valid international yellow fever certificate is required for all passengers over the age of one, arriving in or from a yellow fever infected area. Passengers who are unable to produce a valid international certificate of vaccination on arrival in South Africa will either be placed under quarantine or refused entry into South Africa. Please note that yellow fever vaccination needs to be injected at least 10 days before arrival . Yellow fever vaccination can be received at the two Travel Health Centres of the Department of Health. |
