Micronesia
Many divers consider Micronesia one of the world's best scuba diving destinations. Between the spectacular World War II wreck diving in Chuuk's Lagoon and diving with Yap's majestic mantas, miles of coral reefs and walls are waiting to tempt you. Most of the FSM's islands are encircled by pristine coral reefs, perfect for diving as well as snorkeling. With their unspoiled natural beauty, the islands of the FSM are a natural choice for tourists interested in ecologically sound areas and activities. Even though the coral reefs are probably the most familiar ecosystem to many visitors, of special note are the upland forest and mangrove forest ecosystems on Pohnpei and Kosrae, which provide scenic boat trips and hiking trails, some with breathtaking views. In Micronesia, most trips are two-tank trips; in between dives there is a break for lunch on the boat or a nearby island. Divers are returned to their hotels around three or four in the afternoon. If you plan to go diving again the next day, some diving companies will let you leave equipment at their office, so you only need take cameras etc. back with you to the hotel, but you should check first to make sure this service is available.
Entry visa is not required for BNO and SAR Passport holders to gain entry into all Islands in Micronesia to stay less than 15 days.
